How to Install EA

Follow these steps to install EAGoldTrax EA into MetaTrader 5, whitelist the license URL, attach the EA to your chart, and confirm the setup is ready before running it live.

Before you start

Use MetaTrader 5 only. Make sure your license is already activated for your MT5 account number before attaching the EA to a live chart.

  • Install or open MetaTrader 5 from your broker.
  • Prepare your MT5 account number and license activation confirmation.
  • Download and extract the latest EAGoldTrax EA zip file.

Install steps

Follow the order below. Most install issues happen because the EA file is copied to the wrong folder or WebRequest is not allowed.

Download the latest EA

Download EAGoldTrax_latest.zip and extract the file after download. Keep the extracted EA file ready before opening the MT5 data folder.

Open the MT5 data folder

In MetaTrader 5, click File then Open Data Folder. This opens the correct folder for the MT5 terminal you are using.

Do not guess the folder manually. Always open it from MT5 so the file goes into the correct terminal.

Copy the EA into Experts

Inside the data folder, open MQL5, then Experts. Copy the extracted EAGoldTrax EA file (EAGoldTrax.ex5) into that Experts folder.

Refresh Navigator or restart MT5

Go back to MT5. In the Navigator panel, right-click Expert Advisors and choose Refresh. If the EA still does not appear, close and reopen MT5.

Allow WebRequest for license checking

Go to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors. Tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, add the URL below, then click OK.

Attach EAGoldTrax EA to the chart

Open your trading chart, then drag EAGoldTrax EA from Navigator to the chart. In the EA settings, allow algo trading and load the provided preset if your package includes one.

Before live trading, check symbol, lot size, preset, spread, account balance, and risk settings.

Final checks

Use this checklist before leaving the EA running.

  • The EA appears under Navigator > Expert Advisors.
  • Algo Trading is enabled in MT5.
  • WebRequest URL … is added correctly.
  • The chart shows the EA name and no license error message.
  • Lot size and risk settings match your account size.
